The Next Evolution of DCG Nexus

We take a look into some of the new features introduced in one of our biggest updates yet!

The Next Evolution of DCG Nexus

Since the very beginning, DCG Nexus has had a simple goal: make competitive Digimon Card Game data accessible to everyone.

We started by collecting tournament results, preserving decklists, and making it easier to explore the competitive metagame. Over time, we've added archetype classifications, deck fingerprints, community content, and deeper analysis to help players understand not just what is winning, but why.

Today, we're excited to announce the biggest update in Nexus' history.

This update transforms DCG Nexus from a tournament database into a platform built around the competitive player.

Build Your Competitive Identity

For the first time, players can create their own Nexus profile.

Profiles allow you to claim your tournament decklists, personalise your account, and begin building your competitive history within Nexus. As you compete, your profile becomes a central place to view your journey through the game.

You'll be able to personalise your profile with information such as your home region, avatar, social links, and more, while also linking your Bandai TCG+ ID and Limitless username to support future automatic deck claiming.

Instead of simply seeing a name attached to a tournament result, you'll have a place that represents your competitive journey.

Introducing Teams

Competitive Digimon has always been about more than individual players. Testing groups, local communities, and established teams all play an important role in preparing for events and developing new ideas.

That's why we're introducing Team Profiles.

Teams can create their own identity with a profile, logo, description, and social links, while bringing members together under a single competitive banner.

As Nexus continues to grow, team pages will become another way to explore the competitive scene and discover the people behind the decks.

A New Way to Build Decks

One of the most requested features has finally arrived.

The Nexus Deck Builder is designed specifically for competitive players.

You can now create your own decklists, duplicate tournament-winning builds, save multiple versions as your testing evolves, and keep your ideas organised in one place.

Whether you're making a few adjustments before locals or preparing for your next Regional Championship, your deck library will evolve alongside your testing.

Deck Versions

Competitive decks are never truly finished.

Every event teaches you something new. Every testing session leads to another refinement.

That's why every deck can now have its own version history.

Instead of constantly overwriting a single list, you can create new versions as your ideas develop. Nexus automatically tracks the cards you've added and removed, allowing you to look back and see exactly how your deck has evolved over time.

Your Regional list, your Nationals testing build, and your latest iteration can all live together as part of the same deck's history.

Competitive Suggestions

One of the biggest advantages of DCG Nexus is the tournament data behind it.

The new deck builder begins to take advantage of that data by providing intelligent suggestions as you build.

Rather than making random recommendations, Nexus uses patterns found across thousands of competitive decklists to surface cards that naturally fit alongside your existing choices.

The goal isn't to build your deck for you. It's to help you discover cards and combinations that have already proven themselves in competitive play, giving you another tool during testing and refinement.

As Nexus continues to evolve, these competitive insights will become an even bigger part of the deck-building experience.

Built Around the Community

Every feature in this update has been designed with one goal in mind: making the competitive scene more accessible and visible.

Profiles connect players to their tournament history.

Teams celebrate the communities that prepare together.

The deck builder provides a home for your testing.

Version history captures how your ideas evolve.

Competitive suggestions bring the power of Nexus' tournament database directly into the building process.

Most importantly, these features all build upon the same foundation that Nexus has always stood for: accurate tournament data, meaningful statistics, and a commitment to preserving the competitive history of the Digimon Card Game.

We're incredibly excited to see what players, teams, and the wider community build with these new tools, and we can't wait to continue growing DCG Nexus alongside the competitive scene.
